Why We Work in Uganda: Children Missing Out on Surgery

In Uganda, thousands of children live with painful but treatable conditions, like hernias, cleft lips, or tumours, because their families can’t afford surgery. These children may be:

We focus on Uganda for three key reasons:

Surgical care in Uganda is out of reach for most families. Even simple operations can cost more than a year’s wages. Public hospitals are overwhelmed, and rural areas are often neglected.
