Where do Humanity Direct surgeries take place?

The vast majority of Humanity Direct surgeries take place in Kampala Hospital.

We transport patients there ourselves. Some of them live more than 80km from the facilities there.

It’s important that our surgeries are performed in dedicated operating rooms that are equipped with specialised equipment and staffed by a team of healthcare professionals, including surgeons, nurses, and anaesthesiologists.

This hospital is equipped to handle a wide range of surgical procedures, from routine surgeries to complex and emergency surgeries. We pay for everything we use, from the medical instruments and bandages to the surgeons’ time.
