What happens if a patients profile isn’t fully funded?

If a patient profile on Humanity Direct’s website isn’t fully funded by individual donors, the patient will still receive the necessary medical treatment. Humanity Direct guarantees that every patient featured on their site will have their operation covered, regardless of the level of donations received.

In the unlikely event that a patient does not receive any funding or if the donations fall short of covering the full cost of the surgery, the remaining expenses will be paid for by the Universal Fund.

The Universal Fund is a special reserve established by Humanity Direct to ensure that no child goes without the life-saving or life-changing surgery they need, regardless of individual donor contributions. This approach ensures that every patient’s profile posted on the site receives the care they require, with the organisation committed to securing the necessary resources for their treatment.
