16-year-old Michelle had been living with a painful and progressively enlarging swelling on the left side of her upper jaw caused by an ossifying fibroma.
As the condition worsened, the swelling began to affect her appearance, eating, speech, and confidence.
Without treatment, the tumour risked causing further damage to the bones and surrounding structures of her face. Michelle urgently needed specialised surgery to remove the growth and prevent further complications.
With the care of maxillofacial surgeon Dr Adrian Kamulegeya, Michelle successfully underwent surgery to remove tumour and is now eating and speaking with ease and her confidence is returning.
