Why Becoming a Regular Donor Is So Important

Providing Life-Saving Surgeries for Children

Every child deserves the chance to grow up healthy, happy, and full of potential. Yet millions of children around the world are denied that opportunity simply because they don’t have access to the medical care they need.

Monthly Donations can help fund life-saving surgeries— whether to correct congenital conditions, treat severe trauma, or address debilitating illnesses—that remain out of reach for too many children, especially in low-resource countries.

Make a Difference: Why becoming a regular donor is so important.

We’re working hard to change that by directly funding operations from skin grafts to neurosurgery as well as smaller more routine operations for conditions including, hydrocephalus, hernias, and cataracts – conditions ranked by the World Bank as among the most cost-effective of all health interventions in low-income countries.

Donations fund our clinics, put fuel in our minibus so our healthcare coordinators can reach areas where children far from medical care can be assessed for treatment, cover the cost of the actual surgery and post-op care. Donations also fund our eye test clinics, Glasses for Classes, allowing us to visit schools and provide eye tests for students struggling to see their studies so they can get a pair of glasses.

We’re now looking to increase the number of clinics we hold and the number of operations we perform. To do that, we’ve introduced a new way of donating: becoming a regular donor

From as little as £5 every month you could help us fund our surgical clinics throughout the year and this is why it’s so important to us:

Small Contributions, Big Impact

You might wonder, “How much difference can a small monthly donation make?” The truth is, they add up. Even modest contributions can have a huge impact when they’re pooled together.

A donation of £10 from 25 regular donors means we’re guaranteed to fund an operation every month…50 people would ensure we could fund a complex operation every month and so on…

A Personal Connection to the Cause

Most people have a charitable cause close to their heart. Maybe you had to have surgery as a child, know a child who had life-saving surgery, or simply want to see every child have access to the medical care they need when they need it. Whatever your reason, if you’ve chosen to support our cause to deliver safe surgery to children who don’t have access to it, we’re incredibly grateful.

Regular donors are significant to us so we want to make sure you feel connected to the impact your donation has on our work.  We strive to keep our Success Page updated with all our latest operations so can see what we’ve been able to achieve because of your donation.

Sustainable Impact

When you become a monthly donor, you provide a reliable source of income that allows us to plan for the long term.  There is a huge demand for our clinics and we’re keen to expand the number we run and the number of operations we can commit to performing. Having regular donors will allow us to achieve that.

Become Part of a Community

As a monthly donor, you become an integral part of our community, joining a group of people who are committed to making a lasting difference and making safe surgery for children around the world a possibility.
