XNRG Santa Virtual Challenge

Life-Changing Donations for children who need medical care

Christmas is almost here and it’s time to find the perfect gift for your loved ones.

But before you hit the shops it’s worth remembering that last year an estimated £232 million worth of unwanted presents were returned!

We have a fantastic alternative that would beat any pair of socks or candles. You can donate to one of our young patients to help fund their medical care – a truly remarkable gift to give as we look at ‘The Best Christmas Gift Idea: Life-Changing Donations for Children’

The Best Christmas Gift Idea: Life-Changing Donations for Children in Need

How To Give The Best Gift This Christmas

Imagine the joy of giving a gift that transforms a child’s life forever. For many children around the world, access to medical care is a luxury they can’t afford. Whether it’s a life-saving surgery or a much-needed procedure or treatment, your gift can help pay for their medical care.

How Your Donation Could Make a Difference

We work with a team of healthcare coordinators and surgeons to provide life-saving and life-changing operations for children where there is little or no access to surgery  including:

  • Complex operations – We have a fantastic team of surgeons including neurosurgeons and maxillofacial surgeons who perform some of our more complex operations such as inserting shunts for hydrocephalus or surgery to remove benign tumours.
  • Hernia surgery – Hernias are incredibly common among children in low-income countries and left untreated they can risk life-threatening complications. Yet a simple, low-cost operation can remove them and remove the risk.
  • Skin grafts – We see a lot of children who’ve been injured in cooking fires and have burnt themselves.  It’s a huge risk as children in low and middle-income countries are seven times more likely to die from burns than children in wealthier countries.

How To Donate: Your Christmas Gift Guide

1. Take part in our Virtual Santa Challenge.

This Christmas join us for our Virtual Santa Challenge. Starting on December 1st cover as much distance as you can – whether it’s 50km or 300km every mile matters. You’ll earn a medal and some serious ‘healthy Christmas’ points and we’ll raise some money to fund our clinics for 2025

2. Make a one-off donation

A one-off donation to one of our patients is a great way to fund an operation. You can either fund an entire operation or contribute towards covering the cost of an operation from £5.
This is a great option if you want to donate as and when you want to.

3. Become a regular donor

By giving monthly you’ll be helping us fund operations throughout the year allowing us to plan clinics further in advance knowing that we have the money coming in to fund them.
It also means you know that the donation is set up and you’ve done your bit!
