With a little bit of planning and a get-up-and-go attitude, your regular weekend can be transformed into a mini-adventure. From a midnight mountain climb to cycling to Europe, there is something for everyone.
Best of all, by taking part, you’ll be helping raise money to give children the safe surgery they need.
Here are a few mini adventures for 2026 that will make the most of your weekends while helping to fund our clinics.

1. Set yourself a goal, 7th March

Kick off your Spring with the XNRG Amersham Ultra, the first in a series of three 50km trail ultramarathons showcasing the stunning routes of the Chiltern Hills. Whether you’re a walker opting for the 8 am start or a speedster selecting the 9 am or 10 am waves, this event is open to all abilities.
2. Step back 185 million years in time on the Jurassic Coast Weekend, 15-17th May

Over two days, trek a section of approx. 23 miles, taking in some of the Jurassic Coast’s most dramatic scenery, including the renowned natural stone archway of Durdle Door and beautiful circular Lulworth Cove. The route is strenuous, and there’s very little flat as you hike up and down the steep hills and headlands that make this coastline so beautiful!
3. One weekend – three of the UK’s highest mountains, 12-14th June

Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon await you in June. Starting from Fort William you’ll trek to the summit of your first and highest peak – Ben Nevis. Then set off for the Lake District to conquer Scafell Pike by night. Your final ascent takes place in Snowdonia National Park, where you climb the mighty Snowdon! Your calf muscles will never feel so good.
4. Enjoy sunrise on Mount Snowdon / Yr Wyddfa, 15-16th August

Trek to the top of the highest mountain in Wales and you’ll be at the summit by moonlight and will watch the sunrise from the mountain slopes as you descend. Witnessing the spectacular landscapes opening up before you as the day grows lighter is a magical and unforgettable experience.
5. Cycle to Amsterdam, 5-7th September

Cycling from London to the bike capital of the world is a classic European cycle experience and an amazing challenge to achieve in just two days. Pass through the picturesque countryside of rural England, before crossing the Channel to continue on across the flat landscape of Dutch Zeeland. You’ll also be able to celebrate your achievement with a night in Amsterdam before heading home by train.
Having something in the diary to look forward to is so important at this time of year. And by picking a mini-adventure you’ll be saving and changing children’s lives by funding vital surgery.
