Stella

17-yr-old Stella has had life changing surgery.

Stella had been living with a dentigerous cyst — a fluid-filled growth that had formed around an un-erupted tooth. Although benign, the cyst had continued to enlarge, causing persistent swelling, discomfort, and increasing pain when eating.

Without treatment, the cyst would have kept growing, damaging surrounding bone and teeth and potentially leading to long-term changes in her jaw structure. Thanks to your support, Stella was able to receive the timely care she needed.

Her surgery was performed by Dr Daniel Macho, who carried out a successful enucleation — completely removing both the cyst and the impacted tooth. This not only relieved Stella’s pain but also prevented further damage to her jaw and reduced the risk of more complex procedures in the future.

This is Dr Daniel Macho explaining how the operation worked.

We’re delighted to share that Stella is now recovering well. She is already experiencing relief from the discomfort that had been affecting her daily life and is on the path to eating and speaking normally again.

Donations from the XNRG Amersham Ultra made every stage of Stella’s treatment possible including; her surgery, hospital stay, medical investigations, medications, follow-up appointments, and even transport to ensure she could reach the care she needed.

This operation has given Stella the chance to move forward free from pain and protected her from long-term complications.

Thank you for making this possible.
