Shira

Nine-year-old Shira recently underwent successful surgery for adenoid hypertrophy and can now breath properly when talking and eating.

The surgery, known as adenotonsillectomy, was performed by Dr. Julius Wambete, Consultant ENT surgeon.

The operation means an end to the sore throats, ear ache and disruption to her sleep that she had suffered.

The surgery was made possible thanks to the generous efforts of Will, who participated in one of our XNRG ultra fundraisers.

Will's dedication and hard work in the event raised an impressive £385, that covered the entirety of Shira’s treatment costs as well as two other operations.

The money raised covered the costs of the actual surgery, the medical supplies used and a supply of pain medication to ensure Shira's smooth recovery post-operation.

A huge thank you to Will and everyone who donated to make this possible.
