Mastulah

Eleven-year-old Mastulah had been struggling with enlarged adenoids and tonsils, which were affecting her breathing and preventing her from getting the restful sleep she needed.

She experienced difficulty breathing, snoring and restless sleep, leaving her frequently tired during the day. The lack of quality sleep was also affecting her concentration at school, making it harder for Mastulah to focus and fully participate in her lessons.

She needed an adenotonsillectomy to remove her enlarged adenoids and tonsils and help improve her breathing. Through Humanity Direct, Mastulah was able to receive the specialist care she needed, with ENT surgeon Dr Daglas Kagga performing the operation.

The surgery was successful, giving Mastulah the opportunity to breathe more comfortably and enjoy better-quality sleep. With improved rest, she can now look forward to having more energy during the day and being able to concentrate more easily at school.

Mastulah’s operation was made possible thanks to a generous donation from a Trust, whose support has funded 16 operations for children and young people in need of specialist surgical care.

We are deeply grateful to the Trust for helping Mastulah and other patients access the specialist treatment that can make such a lasting difference to their lives.
