Hadija has had vital neurosurgery

4-yr-old Hadijah has made a great recovery from neurosurgery.

Hadijah's  mum has been really worried as she noticed Hadijah’s head had started to swell - a tell tale sign of hydrocephalus.

Infections are the main cause of hydrocephalus, causing fluid to build up on the brain with lots of consequences including trouble standing or walking, developmental delays and severe headaches.

Thankfully, we work with a wonderful neurosurgeon, Dr Ssenyonjo who performed Hadijah’s surgery to insert a shunt and drain the fluid from the brain.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the XNRG Amersham Ultra. Money raised from the entry fees covered every aspect of Hadijah’s and she is now expected to make a full recovery.
