Post-Op Update: Gorrett has made a great recovery

We’re excited to share that Gorrett’s surgery for a ventral hernia was a complete success—and she’s back to being her bright, playful self!

At just 3-years-old, Gorrett had been living with a large ventral hernia, a condition where tissue pushes through a weak spot in the abdominal wall. It caused her discomfort every day and posed a serious risk of life-threatening complications.

For families like Gorrett’s, who live far from medical care, many won't be able to reach emergency surgery on time.  That's why operating on a hernia before complications strike is vital.

Thanks to everyone who donated to Bob Yates fundraiser, we were able to cover the full cost of Gorrett's  surgery, post-op care, medical supplies, and transport to and from the hospital.

Because of you, Gorrett now has the chance to grow up healthy and strong—free from the pain and danger her hernia once caused.
