It was wonderful to see Angella take her first steps after surgery to treat burns to her leg.
Angella had badly burnt her left leg when a kerosene lamp fell on the floor. Her parents, unable to afford the expensive surgery, did the best they could to treat the burn but the skin fused, creating a scar that left Angella unable to move her left leg.
Dr Idris Mubiru, performed surgery to release the contracture and we're pleased to say it wasn't long until Angella was walking around the ward.
Angella loves to dance so it's great knowing that she'll be able to do that again now she had the medical care she needed.
