We're so pleased to be able to update that 3-yr-old Emmanuel has now had his final operation.
We funded Emmanuel's initial operation - a posterior sagittal anorectoplasty (PSARP) - a type of reconstructive surgery for anal stenosis which makes it difficult to have a bowel movement. The operation left him with a colostomy bag while he healed from surgery.
Emmanuel's final operation, performed by Senior Consultant Paediatrician, Dr John Sekabira, removed the colostomy bag and closed up the wound.
Emmanuel has made a fantastic recovery and is now back to running around like any other 3-yr-old.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part in our XNRG fundraiser for making this possible.
