Edrine

Two-year-old Edrine has had life-changing surgery to repair a urethral cutaneous fistula, a rare condition where an abnormal opening causes urine to leak through the skin instead of passing normally.

Before treatment, Edrine faced persistent discomfort, frequent infections, and challenges with hygiene. As he grew, the condition could also have affected his social development and confidence, making surgery vital for his well-being and future.

The operation was performed by urologist Dr. Dan Namaguzi, who successfully closed the abnormal opening and reconstructed Edrine's urethra to restore proper urinary function. It was a delicate and highly skilled procedure.

Since surgery, Edrine's is now more comfortable, has fewer risks of infection, and the freedom to move and play without the constant worry of leakage.
