Atanansi

14-yr-old Atanansi has had neurosurgery for a malignant brain tumour.

Atanansi started getting headaches that were badly affecting his ability to concentrate in school.

A CT scan revealed a large brain tumour but the good news was that it wasn't cancerous and it was operable.

Leading neurosurgeon, Dr Ssenyonjo (one of Uganda's 12 neurosurgeons), who performed Atanansi's operation.

Donations covered the cost of Atanansi's medical care including the actual surgery, the hospital stay, medical supplies and post-op care.

Bob's epic 1000 mile challenge made this possible.  The money raised helped us cover the costs of Atanansi's surgery including the CT scans,  actual operation, medical supplies and post op care.
