Charity Trusts & Funds

1.75 billon children globally don’t have access to safe and timely surgical care they need.

This means congenital anomalies and treatable injuries result in lifelong disabilities, children die of easily correctable surgical problems, and families and local communities are forever impacted.

We’re working hard to change that.

With our network of surgeons and trusted local partners, we’ve funded over 4000 life saving and life changing operations where they’re needed most - but we want to fund many more.

We’re building a community of trust and foundation supporters committed to providing safe surgery for children worldwide.

Whether you fund a specific project or provide general support, your grant will help children get the lifesaving and life-changing operations they need.

These procedures give them back their community and friends, as many children we meet are isolated by their medical differences

For inspiration please visit our Success Stories, to see the tangible, lasting difference your support could make.

By working with us you can

  • Cover the costs of a major surgical ‘camp’ to perform a large number of specific operations over the course of day or a week.
  • Fund a community nurse to help assess patients who may need surgery and provide post-operative care post-surgery.
  • Purchase vital paediatric medical equipment.
  • Adopt a Glasses for Classes school to provide eye tests and glasses.
  • Fund a series of complex operations.

We believe that strong, collaborative partnerships are built on shared goals, clear communication, transparency and accountability.

When you partner with us, you can expect

Humanity Direct has funded over 4000 lifesaving and life changing operations

From skin grafts to neurosurgery as well as surgery for hernias, cataracts, tumours, and congenital defects.

Neema was one of the first patients to have their surgery funded after being bitten by a snake. The operation saved her leg. This is Neema walking again after surgery.

Glasses For Classes was launched in 2019 providing glasses for children with the poorest eyesight.

We’ve tested over 20,000 eyes and over 2000 children have received a pair of glasses so they can see clearly for the first time.

A pair of glasses can transform a child’s life, helping them see their studies and remain in school.
