Melon

Sixteen-year-old Melon is now on the road to recovery following successful surgery to remove a maxillary tumour — a growth in the upper jaw that had been causing increasing pain, swelling, and difficulty with eating and speaking.

Before treatment, everyday tasks became uncomfortable and the tumour posed the risk of permanent facial deformity, bone damage, and potential breathing problems and eye sight problems if left untreated. Surgery was essential.

The operation was performed by Dr. Macho, an experienced maxillofacial surgeon, who carefully removed the tumour from Mellon’s upper jaw while preserving as much healthy tissue and bone as possible. Thanks to the skill of the surgical team, the operation was a success, and Melon is now recovering well and is already eating more comfortably, speaking without strain, and no longer enduring pain and discomfort for so long.

This surgery has given Melon the chance to heal, regain confidence, and return to school with renewed confidence.

Donations from September's XNRG Ultra  covered every aspect of her care - from transport to hospital, to surgery, hospital stay, and post-operative treatment. Because of this support, Melon’s future is brighter, healthier, and full of possibility once again.
