Richard is playing football again after successful surgery

10-yr-old Richard is back to playing football after successful surgery.

Richard attended one of our outreach clinics with his mum after becoming worried about a condition that he had been struggling with for some time.

After a consultation with our team of medics Richard was diagnosed with hypospadias. Hypospadias is a common malformation and one that can only be corrected by surgery.

The straightforward operation - a snodgrass repair - was performed by urologist Dr Dan Namuguzi.

Thanks to everyone who took part in the XNRG Amersham Ultra we were able to cover all the costs of Richards medical care including the actual surgery as well as the practical aspects of medical care such as transport to and from the hospital and post-op care.
