Joy has had successful surgery for a tumour

10-yr-old Joy is now looking forward to returning to school after surgery to remove a tumour. 

Joy had an ossifying fibroma, a rare benign tumour. While slow growing and painless the tumour was incredibly large and had disfigured one side of her face badly affecting her ability to see and eat properly. 

Consultant Dental & Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr Gonza will performed a surgical excision to remove the tumour. 

Donations from our Santa Virtual Challenge in partnership with XNRG funded this operation covering the costs of the actual surgery, transport to and from hospital and post-op care.
