18-month-old Ssentamu is a very lively little boy. Our healthcare volunteers bought him, along with his mother, to our medical centre for assessment where our surgeons agreed that he would need an operation to correct undescended testis. Undescended testis have been linked to an increased risk of testicular cancer, urinary tract infections and fertility problems later on in life. Our surgeons have recommended that Ssentamu is operated on now as the operation and recovery is easier among younger patients. Ssentamu’s family are poor and cannot afford the cost of his surgery. Every penny you donate will be spent on his surgery and recovery.
