Two-year-old Shukrat has a large umbilical hernia that is causing her discomfort. A lively young girl, her hernia is protruding quite far and as she runs around she keeps knocking it. Normally surgeons wait until children are a little older but as her hernia is quite large and complications are common surgeons are keen to operate as soon as possible. If left untreated life threatening complications can arise as they live to far from any medical facilities. If they do manage to access emergency surgery it will be far more riskier and expensive. Shukrats parents cannot afford the operation she needs so we’re hoping we can find a donor to cover the costs. Every penny donated will directly fund Shukrats surgery including all the medical supplies and post-operative care.
