10-year-old Noah was born with a congenital abnormality otherwise known as a severe hypospadias. Hypospadias is a birth defect of the urethra in males where the urinary opening is not at the correct location. It can be an embarrassing condition and has been linked to an increased risk of testicular cancer and fertility problems later on in life as well as an increase risk factor for urinary tract infections. An operation can repair this so it will not affect him as he grows up. Normally surgery is performed when children are young but Noah’s parents weren’t able to afford the operation so didn’t seek medical care. We’re hoping we can cover the bill that will cover the medical and surgical supplies for the operation and pre and post-operative care.
