Louis is a typical three-year-old bundle of energy. He has recently been diagnosed with undescended testis and needs an operation to correct it. It’s important to get treatment because without surgery the condition has been linked to an increased risk of testicular cancer after adolescence and fertility problems later in life. Doing this early on also reduces complications and recovery tends to be quicker. Dr Kakembo has recommended that he has orchidopexy, surgery that is typical of the high-impact, low-cost surgery that we fund. Louis’s mother is on her own after the father abandoned them and cannot afford the cost of this operation. Your donations will pay for the surgery as well as his post-operative care.
