Emmanuel is from Uganda and lost both parents a couple of years ago leaving him in the care of his uncle. His uncle was very worried about a lump he found on Emmanuel’s head. Our healthcare volunteers heard about his case and arranged for Emmanuel to be assessed by our surgeons who diagnosed a sebaceous cyst and recommended surgery to remove it so there would be no risk of the cyst becoming infected. It is a straight-forward operation but his uncle doesn’t earn enough to pay for the operation. We’re hoping to cover the costs that include the actual surgery, medical supplies and transport to and from the hospital.
