5-year-old Adam had hypospadias - a birth defect of the urethra in males where the urinary opening is not at the correct location.
This can be an embarrassing condition potentially leading to an increased risk of urinary tract infections and testicular cancer. Thanks to Team AlFi who ran the Jurassic Coastal Challenge Adam has now had the surgery he needs. Surgery for hypospadias is ranked as one of the most cost effective health interventions in low-income countries and is typical of the high-impact, low-cost procedures we fund.
This is a film of Dr Dan straight after he operated on Adam explaining how the procedure went: bit.ly/1r9FWNO
