‘The Grinch Runs’- as most folk know, I run a bit and I’m a bit of a Grinch. I don’t usually do events or challenges for charities but 2020 has been an exceptionally tough year for lots of people in lots of different ways. So I will be aiming to run or walk at least 5km per day in December. This is alongside various challenges faced by a great group of runners virtually corralled expertly by the fine folks at www.xnrg.co.uk . One of these runners is my wife Sonja, who is battling back from 2 horrendous years of injury (she won’t be doing 5km/day!?) . This charity is a very worthy cause that directly delivers 100% of money raised to giving children life changing operations in some of the poorest areas of Africa. It really is quite astounding how little these operations cost. Small charities are hit particularly hard when fundraising dries up, so please dig as deep as you are able and donate the cost of a couple of pints, a takeaway meal, a packet of cigs or whatever an indulgence looks like to you. Really make a difference to a child’s life.
