Rachel'S STORY

Hi everyone,

Thanks for visiting my page. Update on training and events so far, a couple of weeks ago completed the Edinburgh marathon in a time of 3 hours 20 minutes and last weekend completed a half Ironman distance triathlon in under 6 hours. So happy with both those times so training is going well at the moment and not long now to keep it going. Just over 4 weeks until the big one. Cotswold 226 Long Distance Triathlon on 17th July. The 226 refers to the distance you have to cover so will be a 3.86km swim (2.4 miles), 180.25km cycle (112 miles) and a 42.2km run (26.2 miles).

Bit about the charity..I initially found out about Humanity Direct though the Edinburgh marathon as they managed to get me a place despite it being sold out and then helped me to get a place in the Cotswold triathlon also. A really good charity to run for, raising money for Children in Africa that have either had surgery or are seriously in need of it and can’t afford to pay for it. I’ve chosen four children to fundraise for and would be great to make as much money as possible for them. 100% of donations go to the person you choose so you can see your money making a difference.

Any donations are very much appreciated.
