At 10am on Friday 18th March, Fi and I are setting off from Charmouth Beach in Dorset, to run, walk and/or crawl 78.6 miles across the following three days.
We are both fit, active people with an ultra marathon, 2 marathons, and 3 halves between us, but neither of us has done anything like this before - we will be pushing ourselves to out absolute limits and then some.
We both want to see what we can be capable of, but we also have the most amazing opportunity to raise funds for Humanity Direct - we are aiming to raise £1287 in the next two months - a figure that will fund 6 life changing surgeries for 6 children and young people in the developing world - Shakur, Carol, Adam, Mohammed, Maganda and Adbullah.
Please do donate anything that you may have spare - whether it would be the price of a pint that you may have bought us when we finish (which we will), or a smaller or larger sum. W
We can’t wait to get stuck into the challenge - both the fundraising, and the 3 days on the Jurassic coast itself - and really hope that, with your help, we can make a difference to the lives of 6 children and young people in the process.
