With all major marathons off this year due to covid restrictions, I’ve had to defer Chicago to which I auto-qualified and wait longer before I can get into Boston, New York or Tokyo.
To make sure I’ve still got a running goal, I decided to try an Ultra this year - that’s a race longer than 26.2 marathon miles. The Tring Ultra is cross country (read: hills 😱💀) and 32m so will certainly challenge me, but everyone reassures me you can take it slow including walk parts so I’m sure I can finish. Raising funds for Humanity and footie-playing 14 year old Joseph will give me further incentive to nail all those long training runs and achieve Finish Line if not Finish Time.
