If you’d prefer to choose your own event, whether it’s a marathon, a 5K or 10K walk or run, or another challenge – why not use it as an opportunity to change a child’s life? By fundraising for Humanity Direct, your efforts can go beyond personal achievement and directly fund life-saving surgeries and essential eye care for children in Uganda.
If you pledge to raise at least three times the cost of your event’s entry fee, we will cover your entry and provide you with a Humanity Direct t-shirt to wear on the day. Not only will you be enabling a child to receive vital medical treatment, but you will also be raising awareness for our cause with every step you take- which is super valuable for an organisation our size.
Fundraising doesn’t have to involve running shoes or race bibs—there are plenty of other meaningful ways to support our work. Here are some ideas to get you started:
As a small charity, every fundraiser – no matter how big or small, long or short – makes a huge difference to us and the children we help. Your effort, whether it raises £10 or £1,000, can be the reason a child receives the surgery they desperately need.
Setting up a fundraising page is quick and easy, and we’re here to support you every step of the way. If you have an idea or want to discuss your plans, get in touch. We’d love to hear from you! You could fundraise for us at a Tough Mudder and choose from nine different events throughout the UK with a choice of three distances (5km, 10km & 15km) and a lot of mud – or you could walk the Mid Sussex Marathon with the family. Whatever your level of energy, it all counts.
