Isham is recovering well after vital surgery

At just two years old, Isham was struggling with enlarged adenoids and tonsils, which were making it difficult for him to breathe comfortably and get the sleep he needed.

He experienced difficulty breathing, snoring and restless sleep, leaving him unable to settle properly at night and often tired during the day. For a young child, poor-quality sleep can have a significant impact on energy, development and everyday life.

Isham needed an adenotonsillectomy to remove his enlarged adenoids and tonsils and help improve his airway. Through Humanity Direct, he was able to access the specialist treatment he needed, with Dr Daglas Kagga performing the operation.

The surgery was successful, giving Isham the chance to breathe more easily and enjoy more peaceful, restful nights. He can now look forward to having the energy to play, learn and grow without the difficulties his condition had caused.

Isham’s operation was made possible thanks to a generous donation from a Trust, whose support has funded 16 operations for children and young people in need of specialist surgical care.
