Gracious has had the vital operation she needed

Four-year-old Gracious had been struggling with enlarged adenoids and tonsils, which were making it difficult for him to breathe comfortably and sleep well.

He experienced breathing difficulties, snoring and restless sleep, meaning that even at such a young age, Gracious was not getting the restful nights he needed. This left him tired during the day and could affect his energy, concentration and ability to enjoy everyday activities.

Gracious needed an adenotonsillectomy to remove his enlarged adenoids and tonsils and help improve his breathing. Through Humanity Direct, he was able to access the specialist care he needed, with Dr Daglas Kagga performing the operation.

The surgery was successful, giving Gracious the chance to breathe more easily and sleep more peacefully. With better-quality sleep, he can now look forward to having more energy to play, learn and enjoy being a child.

Gracious’s operation was made possible thanks to a generous donation from a Trust, whose support has funded 16 operations for children and young people in need of specialist surgical care.
