Devine has had the vital surgery she needed

Fourteen-year-old Devine had been struggling with enlarged tonsils and adenoids, making everyday life much more difficult than it should have been.

She experienced difficulty breathing, snoring and restless sleep, preventing her from getting the quality rest she needed. Her enlarged tonsils and adenoids also made eating difficult, and as a result, Devine began to lose weight due to reduced food intake.

Devine needed specialist surgery to remove the enlarged tonsils and adenoids and help restore her breathing and ability to eat comfortably.

Through Humanity Direct, Devine was able to receive the treatment she needed, with Dr Daglas Kagga performing the operation. The surgery was successful, giving Devine the opportunity to breathe more easily, sleep more peacefully and regain her strength.

Devine’s operation was made possible thanks to a generous donation from a Trust, the same donor whose support has funded a total of 16 operations, including Devine’s and Lillian’s.

For Devine, this support means the chance to put her health difficulties behind her and look forward to a healthier future.
