Yakobo had been living with a growing swelling in his jaw that gradually began to affect every part of his daily life.
What started as a small, painless lump developed into a large cyst that displaced his developing tooth buds and caused increasing discomfort. Eating became especially difficult and over time, Yakobo struggled to eat enough to maintain proper nutrition.
We arranged for Yakobo to be assessed by maxillofacial surgeon Dr. Kamulegeya. who determined that the swelling was a cyst requiring surgical removal. The size and position of the cyst made the procedure complex, but it was essential to relieve Yakobo’s pain and prevent further damage to his jaw and teeth.
Dr. Kamulegeya carefully enucleated the cyst, preserving as much healthy tissue as possible. The operation went smoothly, and Yakobo recovered well under close post-operative care.
With the cyst removed, Yakobo is no longer in pain and most importantly he can now eat comfortably again. He is regaining his strength, enjoying meals without fear of pain, and returning to a normal, active life.
Thank you to everyone who took part in the Amersham XNRG Ultra to make this possible.
